Managed Planet Extensions for LANDesk Version 9.01 is available now

Managed Planet Extensions for LANDesk Version 9.01 is available now.

This update includes support for LANDesk Management Suite 9.0 SP 2 as well as DOTNET 4.0.  New features include updates to Asset Control, Data Translation Services, Executive Report Pack and Software Store. 

The update is available by logging on to the core server and clicking "Programs, Managed Planet, Check for Updates" or directly by clicking  here.

Data Translation Services

• Updated Licensed Software rules for Microsoft Office 2010 and other applications.
• Added ability to import users from Active Directory into Asset Control as objects.
• Updated various rule types to support new values, such as Normalize Processor Types, etc.
• Added some new controls on web forms.  NOTE: You must install the Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 package separately otherwise you will get an error at run time.  You can download them here.

Asset Control

• Added support for additional devices.

Executive Report Pack

• Added Dashboard reports that include graphics and the ability to mix and match reports and report types.  IMPORTANT: The dashboard reports use a number of DTS (Data Translation Services) rules to clean up and create the data.  In the DTS console you will need to run the Dashboard Preparation rule group to properly clean and prepare the data.  For ongoing use, you should set these rules active to maintain the clean data.
• Added scoping features to query reports to automatically generate reports. 
• Paging has been added to most text based reports.  These reports can now return very large results (potentially millions of records).
• Added Patching Scorecard reports.  NOTE: Due to limitations of query importing, it is necessary to manually import 2 query files to get these reports to function correctly.  In the LANDesk console, manually import all the .ldms files in the ManagementSuite\MP.XML\Queries directory to get these reports to properly function.

Software Store

• Before deploying the client, you will need to Reset package hash for the 2 Software store distribution packages (Software Store Client <server> and Software Store Client No GUI <server>).  These are under Public Packages - Managed Planet.
• File Permissions distribution has changed.  Once the server is updated, all clients must be updated to get file permissions to work properly.
