Managed Planet Extensions for LANDesk 9.04 Released

This update includes support for LANDesk Management Suite 9.0 SP 3. New features include updates to Asset Control, Data Translation Services and Executive Report Pack.

The update is available by logging on to the core server and clicking "Programs, Managed Planet, Check for Updates" or directly by clicking the link above.

• Significant enhancements to better support running on a rollup core.
• Added to Role Based Administration. It is now possible to control access to Managed Planet components in RBA.

Executive Report Pack

• Software Compliance reports and include\exclude lists did not work correctly.
• Images missing from saved reports.
• New look and feel for the standard reports.
• Updated and expanded the number of patch reports.
• Added SOX compliance report.
• A number of reports were moved to the ERP\Executive Reports section, mainly graphical and dashboard reports.
• Added a new SLM report that allows expanding usage details for licensed software.
• Modified the SLM reports to show variance in licensing, if you are over or under.
• Added several new Licensed Software usage reports.
• Added additional patch summary reports by year.

Data Translation Services

• Added new "inside the firewall" web rules to gather additional information from devices, such as toner levels from printers.
• Added a service to automatically calculate licensed software data.
• Updated licensed software rules to include newer versions.
• Added ability to do usage tracking in licensed software rules.
• Added Enpointe as a B2B connector type.
• Memory leak fixed in Managed Planet Barcode Core when merging devices.
• Updated a number of the normalize rules to include additional values, such as OS Names and Processor Types.
• Added an option, Delete Licensed Software Data, on the right click menu of Licensed Software, to enable deleting of Licensed Software entries that are no longer valid.
• Updated a number of warranty and other web based rules. HP's website no longer needs the model number, a significant change.
• Added a Dell Europe Support web rule to pull down support cases for Dell Europe.
• Added a feature that will allow archiving only computers that had not been archived before.
• Added ability to add static field to CSV import.
• Added LDAP lookup even if key field is not in scan file.
• Fixed an issue where warranty dates would be wrong when mixing US date formats with localized core servers.
• Added ability to import csv files from a directory.
• Added ability to create Asset Control devices from a CSV file.
• Added a number of additional devices that get interpreted when Discovery Services is run.

Discovery Services

• Added Autodesk and Techsmith license key gathering.
• Updated Microsoft license key gathering.
• Better handling of 64 bit clients.
• Updated the IP Address control to be more user friendly.
