Installing the Managed Planet Extensions for LANDesk is very similar to installing a patch to the LANDesk core server. You need a few pieces of imformation. You need to know the logon for the LANDesk database as well as a logon for the server box itself. Optionally, you can use a logon that has read rights to the active directory so that the installation procedure can set up some LDAP import rules.

Since the very first version of our first extension for LANDesk we have decided to combine the functions of the help screens and the users manual into the single, context sensitive document that was activated from the console or could stand alone as a reference document.
Our users manual displays the appropriate chapter and section based on where you are in the console when you press F1. But if you copy the help file to your local machine you can access anythere because it is a standard Windows help file.
